Marie was born on September 18th, 1948 in Yazoo City, Mississippi and joined Cross Way Publications on March 8th, 2001.

Marie's Biography:
My name is Marie and I was born in a small town in the heart of the Delta. I guess you could say ?I?m the girl that left the South, but the South never left me.? I love the southern states and will always consider that my home. I was one of those blessed children that was adopted at a young age, but the most wonderful adoption was when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior; and was adopted in to the family of God
As with so many women of my time, I spent most of my married life raising our three children and staying home to be able to go to church activities, horse shows, ball games and other school activities our children were involved in.
After the children left home and I got over the initial "shock" of the "empty nest syndrome" I began to do some sketching and dabbled in some writing, but upper most in my mind was the question "What am I going to do with the rest of my life?"
I began to seriously seek Gods' will and as I prayed I simply told the Lord I wanted his Divine will and purpose for me to be revealed. I knew he had a ministry somewhere for me as he does with all his children, but I just wasn't sure what he had in store?As the scripture says in Isaiah 55: 8-13 His ways are much higher than my ways? I could not begin to see all his wonderful plans for me.
Then one day I sent a poem to a friend. I had written it just to let her know how special she is. It touched her heart and she began to encourage me to continue writing? Well, as they say, The rest is History!
I am doing what the Lord intended for me to do. Making new friends and I pray that each poem that I write will reveal Christ and his love for each of us?. May you be blessed as well.
